The story behind triple ic

The founder tells his story

Leaving my war-torn country with only memories and a backpack, I lived as a refugee for years before finally relocating to Canada. In my suitcase, I had a few clothes, $10, and books I had collected. The warmth and kindness of Canadians overwhelmed me, and I received the support I needed to rebuild my life.

Despite numerous setbacks, my entrepreneurial spirit led me to start two businesses and develop a fitness wearable device. Both ventures failed, causing months of pain and soul-searching. Conversations with other immigrant entrepreneurs revealed common challenges: lack of capital, expertise, institutional access, and networks.

Seeing an opportunity to help, I worked tirelessly to establish the Immigrant Idea and Innovation Center(Triple IC), a non-profit dedicated to supporting immigrant entrepreneurs. Registered on January 6, 2023, in Hamilton, the center received an overwhelming response. It aims to provide mentorship, training, and resources to help immigrants turn their ideas into thriving businesses.

This center stands as a beacon of hope, symbolizing resilience, determination, and the power of community. By giving back to Canada, I honor the country that welcomed me and made it possible to help others achieve their dreams.

Our Approach

As immigrant entrepreneurs face unique challenges, Triple IC developed the ACCUBATOR graduated model to work with them, combining incubation and acceleration. Triple IC has developed ACCUBATOR, a new model combining incubation and acceleration to address the challenges immigrant entrepreneurs face.

As a hybrid model, the ACCUBATOR addresses the unique challenges and leverages the unique strengths of immigrant entrepreneurs in Canada by combining the best features of traditional business incubation and acceleration. This model will inform and drive all of our programs
